Hello Everyone,

Last Week: Our speaker was Hope Sullivan, Executive Director of IS183 Art School. Hope told us about all of the classes they offer both in house and in local schools. It was interesting to hear about their “Learning Through Arts” program, which teaches students discipline and problem solving through different art mediums.

This Week’s Program:  There is no meeting this week. The “Drive for Scholarships” Golf Tournament is this Thursday. The committee has been working hard again this year. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year so please give support and thank all involved. If you have restaurant raffle tickets, please get them to Barbara before the tournament. The winners will be drawn at lunch time on Thursday.

Community Work: Because of all the work we do, we were able to support the following community programs this month.

  • Food summer backpack program for Muddy Brook students in need of nutritious meals.

  • Entry to Entrepreneurship. Many of our members are mentors in this program.

  • Berkshire Baby Box

  • Berkshire South Summer programs. Teen Leadership Training and Learn to Lead

Sell more raffle tickets, Volunteer for an intersection at the Bike N’ Fly and we will continue to support our community in great ways. Be proud of what you do.

District News: You are cordially invited to attend the District 7890 Golf Outing on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Twin Hills Country Club in Longmeadow, MA. Have a great afternoon of golfing, fellowship, great food and fun all for the price of $125 – the same as last year.

People's Pantry:  There will not be a collection this week, but please bring lots of canned fruit next week.
